In 1972, Jesse Jackson went on Sesame Street and recited a poem together with kids from the neighborhood. The poem was I Am - Somebody and the first time I saw the video I cried. How amazing to teach children that we are all different and that all our differences are worthwhile and make us somebody important. I created this painting using custom stencils and spray paint on a stretched canvas. It measures 16x20. x
